Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant for Braintree Mews Care Home in Braintree. You will support the Head Housekeeper by providing a laundering service that underpins the hospitality function, ensuring high-quality care is delivered to residents.

Applicants should have an understanding of laundering for different textiles and ideally experience in a similar setting or hotel. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of laundering requirements for various textiles.
• Experience in a similar setting or hotel is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all laundry duties.
• Understanding wash guide instructions and laundering requirements for textiles.
• Practising safe systems of work, including moving and handling loads, and assessing risks.
• Contributing to teamwork and following reasonable work instructions.
