At Avery Healthcare, we are seeking a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant – Bank at Horse Fair Care Home, Rugeley. You’ll support catering, help prepare meals, and maintain hygiene in a team‑oriented setting that values respect and compassion for residents.

The role requires a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, awareness of health and safety, and the ability to handle a demanding workload with flexibility and care for residents.

Formación

• Holder of Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Able to sustain physical workload and manage a demanding schedule.
• Positive, flexible team player with caring attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Support the catering function in food preparation and maintain a clean environment for safe production of meals.
• Understand principles of safe food handling to ensure high hygiene standards.
• Contribute to team working and respond promptly to reasonable instructions.
• Advise on supply and quality of items, ensuring timely ordering of replacements.
• Treat residents and visitors with dignity and respect while supporting a caring environment.
