Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience is an asset.
• Genuine passion for working with seniors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with empathy.
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy with a professional attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset.
• Ability to pass the DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) assessment.
• Strong English communication (reading, writing, speaking).
• Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors in their homes.
• Assist with daily living activities such as light housekeeping, meals, and errands.
• Accompany clients to appointments and community activities.
• Monitor changes in client health, mood, or behavior and report to the care team.
• Engage clients in conversations and activities to promote mental well-being.
• Provide respite support to family caregivers as needed.
• Maintain accurate client care records and documentation.
