Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Southbourne Beach Care Home in Bournemouth, Dorset. You will join a close-knit team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry services, following SOPs to ensure hotel-style service in the home.

You will work as part of a team with a focus on resident dignity, safety, and well-being, while adhering to health and safety guidelines and adapting to cover various tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
