Job summary

Avery Healthcare is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant at Clare Court Care Home in Birmingham to support our residents and teams with cleanliness and laundry to high hotel service standards.

Your role will involve following standard operating procedures, carrying out cleaning duties, and ensuring residents' dignity and spaces are respected, while working as part of a caring, dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding cleaning requirements of surfaces and coverings and maintaining areas in good condition.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect and personal space is respected.
