Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a friendly Housekeeping Assistant at Rivermere Care Home in Kent. You will join a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry, following standard procedures and hotel service standards while supporting residents with respect.

You will perform cleaning duties, understand surface care, ensure rooms are well presented, and adapt to cover a range of tasks at short notice, always upholding dignity and privacy for residents.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Follow SOPs for housekeeping and laundry to maintain hotel service standards.
• Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect and their personal space is respected.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all areas and surfaces to professional standards.
