Job summary

Retirement Villages Group is seeking a friendly Housekeeper to maintain high cleanliness standards across Blagdon Village and residents' homes. This part-time role runs 9am–1pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 20 hours per week, with an emphasis on safety and dignity for residents.

You will perform regular cleaning, launder linens, and help keep communal areas tidy, while delivering warm, respectful service. A background in care or hospitality is valued, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in residential or hospitality settings.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanour.
• Sensitivity to the needs and preferences of older adults.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cleaning tasks in residents’ apartments, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
• Laundering residents’ linens and clothing with care and attention to detail.
• Keeping communal areas such as lounges, dining areas, and hallways clean and presentable.
• Assisting with light maintenance tasks as needed.
• Upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the village.
