Job summary

Northern Health and Social Care Trust is seeking a Home Care Worker (Band 3) to deliver domiciliary care across the Causeway Localities. You will work to agreed care plans, support individuals with daily living activities, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.

Role involves flexible shifts (mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays) in service users’ homes. Requires registration eligibility with NISCC and a valid driving licence where applicable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or QCF Level 2 in a Care related subject plus 6 months’ paid experience directly caring for older people or other client groups.
• Equivalent qualifications considered.
• Must be listed or eligible to be registered on NISCC Register of Social Care Workers within 3 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services to service users in their own homes.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living and maintain records as required.
• Follow health and safety policies and infection control guidelines.
• Promote independence and support carers and families where appropriate.
