Job summary

Sylvian Care South East London is seeking compassionate Care Professionals to support clients at home in South East London. Initially part-time with the opportunity to progress to full-time, you’ll provide personalised home care and companionship to help clients live safely and with dignity.

A guiding, human-centred team culture supports your growth and development. You’ll be paid £13.85 per hour, aligned with the London Living Wage, with 30p per mile for travel.

Qualifications

• Caring, patient and dependable nature.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Willingness to learn and support others.
• Driving licence and access to own car preferred.
• Experience in caregiving or related field desirable.
• Familiarity with Alzheimer’s/dementia/older person care beneficial.
• First aid and behaviour management skills advantageous.
• Previous home care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with personal care including washing, dressing and toileting.
• Support clients with mobility and medication.
• Prepare meals and help keep the home tidy.
• Run errands including shopping and collecting prescriptions.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to encourage social interaction.
