Job summary

Home Instead in Leek & Moorlands is hiring compassionate carers for a full-time, salaried role. Average 35 hours per week with some early start times and alternate weekends. Salary £25,000 per year plus overtime for extra hours and mileage paid at 30p per mile.

We match carers to clients for meaningful visits of at least one hour, with in-house training provided. Benefits include 28 days holiday, a refer-a-friend bonus, career progression, discounts, and a paid enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• No care experience required due to in-house training.
• Full driving licence and own vehicle are required.
• Reliable, punctual, and caring personality.
• Confident in conversation.
• Able to commit to the required hours.
• Must be happy to travel around Leek & Moorlands.

Responsibilities

• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, tidying, and laundry.
• Prepare meals or assist with cooking their client's favourite dishes.
• Offer companionship by engaging in hobbies and spending quality time together.
• Support with personal care including showering, dressing, and bedtime routines.
• Take clients on outings such as shopping or to a local café.
• Keep accurate records and report concerns following company guidelines.
• Administer medication and document accordingly.
• Promote independence by supporting clients in following their routines.
