Job summary

Love In Care is seeking caring, dependable people to support customers in their own homes, and occasionally in local care homes, across Leeds and Yorkshire.

You will assist children, adults and older people to stay safe, independent and comfortable, while keeping clear notes and timely updates for families and professionals. Roles are full-time or part-time (minimum 20 hours/week) with pay at £12.71/hour and travel time paid at the same rate.

Qualifications

• Level 2 literacy, numeracy and IT skills with willingness to learn.
• Care experience with children, young people or adults; learning disabilities an advantage.
• Health-and-safety training and following policies and procedures.
• Safeguarding knowledge for all age groups and commitment to rules.

Responsibilities

• Personal care and medication prompts with accurate records.
• Meal prep, light housekeeping and essential shopping.
• Provide companionship, emotional support and engaging activities.
• Clear notes and timely updates to families and professionals.
• Liaise with GPs, nurses or emergency services when required.
• Work solo or with another carer, adapting to needs and routines.
• Promote independence and safe, risk-aware home care.
• Duties may vary to meet client needs and policies.
