Job summary

Priory Hospital Market Weighton is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in East Yorkshire, you will assist with patient care, support routine activities, and help implement individual care plans in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

The role requires good GCSEs or NVQ1, strong communication skills, and a flexible approach to shifts, including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• Must-have: good education (NVQ1/GCSE Maths & English)
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Basic IT skills and accurate record-keeping
• Understanding of confidentiality
• Flexible shifts, including weekends/nights

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified staff with care plan assessment and implementation
• Undertake routine tasks to support patient wellbeing and dignity
• Observe and monitor wellbeing and report concerns to senior staff
• Support patients with personal care while ensuring privacy and safety
