Job summary

Nurses UK is seeking Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our care team across the South West of England. We offer full-time and part-time day and night shifts, with competitive pay and Bank Holiday enhancements.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work alongside nurses and multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate care, support daily living activities, and ensure patient comfort and dignity in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker in the UK (preferred).
• Care Certificate or willingness to complete relevant training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environments.
• Commitment to high standards of care and professional practice.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate personal care to patients/service users.
• Assist with daily living activities (washing, dressing, mobility, toileting, feeding, etc.).
• Monitor and report changes in patients’ conditions to senior staff.
• Support nursing and clinical teams in delivering patient-centred care.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and supportive care environment.
• Accurately document care provided in line with service requirements.
• Promote dignity, independence, and respect in all interactions.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
