Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. seeks a caring Personal Assistant to support a happy eleven-year-old boy at home in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a part-time role focused on daily care, safety, and emotional well-being, with occasional outings to community activities and therapy appointments.

You will assist with toileting, feeding, communication, and sensory play, using visuals or alternative strategies. A background in autism and developmental delays is essential, along with DBS clearance and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Prior experience caring for children with autism and developmental delays is essential.
• Kind, patient, and emotionally intuitive.
• Comfortable with basic medical care or willing to training ( DBS check required).
• Must have a full driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily care routines (toileting & feeding).
• Support communication and sensory play using visuals or alternative strategies.
• Deliver simple educational activities or therapy tasks.
• Manage challenging behaviour calmly and positively.
• Keep the home environment safe, clean and organized.
• Accompany the child on outings and therapy appointments.
