Job summary

Sense Scotland is seeking a compassionate Care Worker at the Erskine Street Housing Support Service to help seven adults live as independently as possible in their tenancies. You will provide personal care, assist with daily activities and support with routines, within a welcoming, skilled team.

You will work under the Registered Manager and contribute to person-centred plans, risk assessments and the delivery of activities that promote wellbeing and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a varied range of personal care.
• Supporting people through behaviours that may challenge you.
• Manual handling and wheelchair pushing.
• Administering and supporting with medication; support to attend activities.
• Cooking, meal preparation and menu planning.
• Support with household tasks including cleaning and shopping.
• Provide support with finances; holidays or short breaks.
• Writing and maintaining support plans and risk assessments.
