Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking a Domestic Assistant at Cartref Dyfi Care Home in Machynlleth to keep the home clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors. 18 hours per week, shift 09:00–15:00, with training provided and a supportive team.

You don't need prior care or domestic experience; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are valued, with opportunities for training and development within an employee-owned organisation.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required in care or domestic setting.
• Attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference matter most.
• Training and support provided to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitising residents' rooms, communal areas and furnishings.
• Supporting with laundry and maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ensuring the home is tidy, fresh and welcoming for residents and visitors.
• Building positive relationships with residents, their families and colleagues.
• Using cleaning products safely and following COSHH guidelines.
• Working as part of a supportive team while also being confident working independently.
