Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Avon Valley Care Home in Kingswood, Bristol. You will deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.

No prior experience is required as we offer a thorough induction and training programme. You will communicate effectively, show initiative, treat residents with dignity and respect, and stay flexible to cover a range of duties at short notice.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.
• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalate risks promptly.
• Practising safe systems of work across the range of task.
