Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. is seeking a part-time Care Assistant to support a senior gentleman in Leeds. The role requires clear communication with Global Aphasia, patient and empathetic care, and ability to assist with long walks.

Driving licence and vehicle are essential for mileage reimbursement. DBS check or willingness to obtain one is required. The position offers flexible hours Monday to Wednesday with some Fridays as needed, and a pay rate of £13.23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support work is essential.
• DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
• Physically able to support long walks.
• Patient, reliable and empathetic by nature.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day personal support and assistance.
• Communicate clearly using simple language.
• Support mobility and accompany the client on activities, including long walks (often 6+ miles).
• Ensure the client’s safety, comfort, and wellbeing at all times.
