Job summary

Bluebird Care is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our Care Expert Team in Tonbridge and surrounding areas. You’ll support customers with daily living tasks, promote independence, and help maintain comfort and dignity in their own homes.

We offer flexible shift patterns, paid mileage and travel time, full induction and ongoing expert training, uniforms and PPE, and 24/7 support from a friendly team. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is beneficial but not required as full training is provided.
• A kind, compassionate attitude with a calm approach to care.
• Great communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care tailored to each person’s individual needs
• Assist with personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Help with meal prepping, preparation and nutrition
• Support with medication, prescriptions and safe disposal
• Carry out light housework like tidying, laundry and general cleaning
• Be a dependable friendly, familiar face for all the customers you care for
