Job summary

Cavell Park Care Home in Maidstone, part of Porthaven Care Homes, is seeking a Care Assistant for full-time days (36 hours weekly, 12-hour shifts from 8am to 8pm) with alternative weekends.

You will care for residents, supporting with daily living activities, meals and personal care, while promoting dignity and independence. DBS check and right to work in the United Kingdom are required; full training is provided. Bank contracts available with zero hours options.

Qualifications

• Care role in health and social care environment.
• DBS check and right to work in the United Kingdom required.

Responsibilities

• Respect each resident as an individual, tailoring care to their personal needs and preferences according to their care plan.
• Support residents with daily living activities including washing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Promote choice, dignity, and independence through person-centred care.
• Support residents during mealtimes and ensure they have access to food and refreshments whenever they wish.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through kindness, empathy, and compassion.
