Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant to join Merlin Court Care Home in Marlborough, Wiltshire. You will deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to provide continuity of services to residents.

No prior experience required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided. You will communicate effectively, show initiative, respect residents, and be flexible to cover a range of tasks as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents in all personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
