Job summary

MPA Recruitment in Northern Ireland is seeking compassionate Health Care Assistants to join our supportive, flexible workforce. You will work under nursing staff to assist patients with daily needs, ensuring care is delivered safely, respectfully, and in a person-centred manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months paid experience in a care setting within the last 5 years.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care preferred.
• Right to work in the UK and NISCC registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including washing, dressing, toileting and feeding.
• Support mobility and safe movement of patients in the facility.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature and pulse.
• Encourage independence with daily tasks and activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and care team.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient areas.
• Assist with meals and refreshments.
• Follow infection control procedures and safeguarding policies.
• Accurately update patient records under supervision.
• Support clinical tasks as trained and delegated.
