Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse

Band 6 Part Time Fixed Term 12 months post (one day per week)

Oldham Community Services, part of Oldham Care Organisation and the Northern Care Alliance has an opportunity for a Tissue Viability Nurse to join our community team in Oldham to cover temporary reduction in team members hours. The Tissue Viability /Lymphoedema Service works closely with our DN cluster teams, HRFT, and palliative care to provide expert advice, support and training for staff, patients and carers in relation to tissue viability and lymphoedema, including pressure ulcer prevention and management, leg ulcer management and chronic oedema management.

This is a great opportunity for an individual wishing to develop in the role of Tissue Viability and could be considered as a secondment opportunity. Applications from experienced tissue viability nurse applicants are also welcomed.

The Tissue Viability Nurse will assist and work independently within the Tissue Viability Team and assist with the day to day running of the Tissue Viability Service. The post-holder will be involved in all aspects of the prevention and management of wounds, promoting clinical excellence, with a specific focus on chronic wounds, i.e. leg ulceration and pressure ulcers.
