Job summary

Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Community Support Worker for Preston Domiciliary Service. The role is permanent, part-time (32 hours per week) with salary £26,016–£26,847 pro rata and allowances for weekends and sleep-ins.

You will support adults with disabilities to live independently at home and in the local community, building trust and providing compassionate, high-quality care. Benefits include induction, training and progression opportunities within Adult Social Care.

• Ability to support adults with disabilities to live independently in their own homes.
• Excellent communication and empathic approach in daily care.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with disabilities to live independently in their own homes and communities.
• Deliver personal care, help with daily activities, household tasks and medications as required.
• Assist with finances, shopping, and transportation within the community.
• Encourage participation in activities to promote wellbeing and social inclusion.
• Work across shifts including some sleep-ins and weekends as part of a permanent role.
