Job summary

Thera Trust is seeking a compassionate Community Support Worker to assist 9 young adults with learning disabilities aged 18-25. You will help them develop independence, set personal goals, and live the life they choose.

As part of a dedicated team, you will provide tailored, person-centred support to enable meaningful participation in daily activities and community life. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience in a support or care role is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Autism and PICA is helpful.

We're looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and proactive Community Support Worker to join our dedicated team supporting 9 young adults aged 18-25 with learning disability. You'll play a vital role in helping people develop independence, achieve their personal goals, and live the life they choose.

About the Role

As a Community Support Worker, you'll provide personalised, person-centred support that empowers people to make choices, build life skills, and actively participate in their community.

You’ll support people to:

• Develop independence through travel training
• Attend the gym and lead healthy, active lifestyles
• Enjoy bowling, cinema trips and social outings
• Build confidence and life skills
• Achieve personal goals and aspirations
• Make choices and have control over their own lives

You’ll take the time to understand each person's individual needs, interests, passions and personality, ensuring the support you provide is truly tailored to them.
