Elysium Healthcare is seeking a caring Healthcare Assistant for Tydfil House in Abergavenny, Wales. You will join an inclusive team delivering patient-centred care to adults with mental health needs, supporting recovery and meaningful living.

Daily tasks include ward rounds, recording observations, and assisting with personal hygiene, under supervision. DBS disclosure is required; 33 days leave and flexible wellbeing benefits are offered.

What You Will Be Doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Mental Health conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

Tydfil House is a warm and supportive four-bed residential home in the heart of Abergavenny, designed to help adults step-down safely from hospital settings into community life. Our focus is on co-produced, person-centred rehabilitation that supports each individual to lead a meaningful and independent life.
