A community palliative care organization in Shepton Mallet is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to deliver holistic nursing care in the East Somerset area. The role includes working independently, providing patient-centred care, and undertaking assessments, all while being part of a supportive nursing team. Candidates should possess a valid UK driving licence and demonstrate strong communication skills.
The successful candidate will work as part of our East Somerset Team alongside existing members of our very supportive Community Palliative Care Team and will contribute to the delivery of palliative care by providing expertise in decision making, advance care planning & holistic symptom control.

Our focus is on quality of life, helping patients to live well and die well. We are here for anyone in our community who is facing a life-limiting illness. Using our full breadth of service, we create individual care journeys, which start at diagnosis and continue with bereavement support for family, carers and children.
COMMUNITY STAFF NURSE | Band 5 | £29,970 - £36,483 per annum (2025 pay award pending)

Working in the East Somerset area. This is a Full Time position, working 37.5 hours over 5 days.
Due to the community based nature of the role, the post holder will need to hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
