A regional health service provider in Kendal is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to join the team covering maternity leave. The ideal candidate will possess nursing qualifications, relevant experience in palliative and wound care, and a passion for community care. This 37.5-hour role includes teamwork in providing high standards of care, along with weekend and holiday shifts.

An opportunity has become available to join the Kendal District Nurses as a registered nurse to cover 12 months maternity leave. This is a supportive team that pride themselves on delivering a high standard of person centre care to the residents of Kendal and surrounding villages.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic team player that shares the same passion and drive to care for people in their own homes to a high standard and wants to develop their knowledge in community care.
The post is 37.5 hours a week over 5 days and includes weekends and bank holidays.
The post holder will work as a registered Nurse within Community Services, accountable for providing evidence based, holistic nursing care of patients.
You will be expected to support the Sister/Team Leader in leading the team supervising, directing staff and delegating workload according to skills of the staff within the team.
The Kendal District Nurse team is a busy team comprising of both registered and clinical support workers. We regularly have students to support and develop.
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
