A community healthcare provider in Barnsley is seeking a passionate Community Staff Nurse to deliver nursing care and support patients primarily in their homes. The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated nursing team focused on high-quality patient care and personal development. Candidates should be registered adult nurses with community nursing experience, and a driving license is essential. This position offers opportunities for training and advancement within the trust.

We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic & motivated Registered Nurses to join our innovative Neighbourhood Nursing Service throughout the Barnsley area.
The service is responsible for delivering a wide range of nursing care to housebound patients, which includes wound management, chronic disease management, promotion of self‑care, terminal/palliative care & the administration of IV antibiotics for admission avoidance.
Successful candidates will maintain high quality effective nursing care in the community as part of the wider integrated care team.

Visa sponsorship under the Health and Care Worker visa route can only be considered if the prorated salary meets the minimum threshold of £25,000, as required by the UK Visas and Immigration. Therefore, sponsorship may not be possible depending on working hours.
As a Neighbourhood Staff Nurse you will support the District Nurse in carrying out nursing care for patients primarily within their home but you will also participate in clinic sessions.
Enthusiasm and the ability to use your own initiative are essential, along with good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.
You will need the ability to work both as part of a team and as a lone worker, along with the use of a vehicle to undertake any necessary travel in connection with the duties of the post.
You will be allocated to a specific Neighbourhood; however, it should be noted that you are employed to work across the service and may be required to move bases if/when required.
You will be required to work flexibly as the service operates 8am – 8pm.

Adapt and provide a wide range of nursing care in home and community based settings
Be accountable for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients, reporting and escalating relevant information to appropriate health and social care professionals.
Work in an integrated and partnership way with primary, secondary, social care, the independent and voluntary sector and others to improve the health and care of individuals, families and communities, particularly the most vulnerable.
Undertake and maintain the required statutory, mandatory and core training and preparation to meet the specific clinical needs of the service.
