Job summary

Leisure & Culture Dundee is seeking an enthusiastic Club and Community Officer to develop community sport across Dundee, working with local clubs, Community Sport Hubs, volunteers and partners to create inclusive, sustainable and thriving sporting clubs and hubs.

The post is based in a hybrid arrangement at Central Library, Level 3, 37 hours per week with evening and occasional weekend work to support clubs and partner organisations, focusing on governance, capacity building and removing

Qualifications

• HND/SVQ4 or equivalent in a sports development field and/or work-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen community sport across Dundee by supporting Community Sport Hubs and local sports clubs to become strong, safe, sustainable and inclusive organisations.
• Lead development and delivery of Community Sport Hubs and club development initiatives across Dundee, aligning with national priorities and Active Dundee Business Plan.
• Focus on building capacity of sports clubs, increasing participation opportunities, improving governance and promoting inclusivity for underrepresented groups.

Education
