  • Overseeing the governance and delivery of strategic action plans, ensuring risks are tracked and performance monitored.
  • Representing Sunderland City Council and the Safer Sunderland Partnership at operational and strategic forums.
  • Producing high‑quality reports and performance summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Managing commissioned services and monitoring budgets linked to externally funded initiatives.
  • Supporting skills development and resilience across the Community Safety Team.
  • Driving continuous improvement through analysis of data, performance, and evaluation of partnership working.
  • Promoting community engagement, encouraging participation in crime prevention and public safety efforts.
What We’re Looking For

You should have:

  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including crime and disorder, antisocial behaviour, and community safety governance.
  • The ability to analyse data, evaluate projects, and present information in accessible formats for various audiences.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience of working in multi‑agency partnerships.
  • Experience in preparing high‑level reports, managing budgets, and overseeing commissioned services.
  • A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., Criminology, Community Safety, Public Policy), or equivalent experience.

Please note that a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required prior to appointment.
