You will report to an Enforcement Manager and work alongside a team of Principal Enforcement Officers, Enforcement Officers (in uniform), and Technical Support, as well as the wider Community Safety and Business Regulation Service, to provide the best service possible to residents and the public in the London Borough of Hackney.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake case management under pressure and carry out a wide range of enforcement duties in relation to noise, community safety, anti‑social behaviour, street scene and environmental enforcement (fly tipping, graffiti, fly posting, littering, highway obstructions, etc.), and wider general public realm enforcement as required.
  • Be assigned wards to address localised problems, challenging and changing behaviours to contribute to the achievement of the Mayor's priorities and the Council's corporate objectives.
  • Deal with complainants and victims of anti‑social behaviour skillfully and sensitively, progress the cases, listen to concerns and manage expectations.
  • Maintain accurate service‑specific records to ensure compliance with reporting obligations.
  • Take a proactive approach, be driven and have excellent communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate experience in effective case management in some of these areas and the ability to transfer those skills. You may not be an expert in all the different enforcement duties and legislation mentioned above, but we will consider applications that show proven case‑management skills.

Applicants must be able to deal with complainants and victims of anti‑social behaviour in a skillful and sensitive manner, progress cases, listen to concerns and manage expectations.

Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and demonstrating excellent communication skills is essential.
