This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. One day you could be supporting a vulnerable customer experiencing persistent anti-social behaviour, the next you could be working alongside the Police and partner agencies, preparing evidence for court or helping neighbours resolve long-standing disputes through restorative approaches.

If you’re resilient, compassionate and confident dealing with challenging situations, we’d love to hear from you.

Main job responsibilities
  • Investigate reports of anti-social behaviour, ensuring cases are managed promptly, fairly and professionally.
  • Take a problem-solving approach to resolve anti-social behaviour, balancing support, prevention and enforcement to achieve sustainable outcomes.
  • Provide advice, guidance and practical support to victims of anti-social behaviour, crime and domestic abuse, helping to reduce repeat victimisation.
  • Work with perpetrators to encourage positive behavioural change while taking proportionate enforcement action where necessary.
  • Manage a varied caseload, prioritising cases according to risk and impact.
  • Gather evidence, prepare detailed case files and represent whg during court proceedings when required.
  • Use restorative justice and mediation techniques where appropriate to help customers resolve disputes and improve neighbour relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with the Police, local authorities and other partner organisations to achieve the best outcomes for customers and communities.
  • Maintain accurate case records and produce clear, concise reports.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation, case law and best practice relating to anti-social behaviour.
We’re looking for someone who has
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with perpetrators and victims
  • The ability to produce accurate and succinct written reports
  • Computer literate including experience of using Word, and Excel spreadsheets
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and communicate clearly when faced with agitation or aggression
  • Personal resilience with regards to potentially hostile environments or individuals
  • Significant experience of working in an anti-social behaviour environment
  • Experience of successful case management
  • In depth understanding of anti-social behaviour legislation
  • Experience of partnership working
  • A full, UK driving licence
What’s in it for you
  • A competitive salary
  • 27 days annual leave (plus Christmas shut down)
  • A defined benefit pension scheme
  • Health cash plan
  • A range of shopping and leisure discounts
