Job summary

Bradford Children and Families Trust in Keighley/Shipley invites applications for a full-time Community Resource Worker (37 hours per week). Hybrid working arrangements and a Grade L3, SCPs 12-24 salary (£28,598–£35,412) apply.

The role supports Social Workers to assist families and children who need help, at the frontline of ensuring every child has the best start in life. The organisation emphasises equality of opportunity and aims to deliver change in Bradford’s diverse city context.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a minimum Level 3 Diploma working with children and young people or other relevant qualifications (e.g. a relevant degree, Dip SW, RGN, Teaching, Youth & Community) or equivalent with 2 years' experience with children.
  • Experience – Adequate continuous experience of working with children and young people.
  • A driving licence and access to a car with Business Insurance unless a disability prevents this.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising family time arrangements
  • Direct work with children
  • Supporting social workers to manage non-statutory activities with children
  • General support such as opening bank accounts or applying for passports
  • Deliver direct work with parents to support budgeting, routines, boundaries, and healthy relationships

About the Role

We currently have a full time 37 Hours opportunity for a Community Resource Worker in Keighley and Shipley Children’s and Family Service.You will besupportingSocial Workers tosupportfamilies and children who may require temporary or ongoing help.The role will require you to work directly with families and building relationships andtrustwith them.


This really is hands on role and at the frontline of ensuring that everychildhas the best start in life.


Our approach is rooted in restorative and relational practice, fosteringtrust, mutual respect, and meaningful relationships with children, families, and professionals.


You’ll also:


  • Supervising family time arrangements

  • Direct work with children

  • Supportingsocial workers to manage non-statutory activities with children

  • Generalsupportsuch as opening bank accounts of applying for a passports

  • Deliver direct work with parents to support in areas such as, budgeting, establishing routines and boundaries, and healthy relationships.


To be successful in this role you will need:


  • You must hold a minimum Level 3 Diploma working with children and young people or other relevant qualifications (for example: A Relevant degree, Dip S.W, RGN, Teaching, Youth and Community etc, or equivalent as specified by the service if this is supported by 2 years' experience of working with 2 children)

  • Experience – Adequate continuous experience of working with children and young people.

  • A driving licence and access to a car with Business Insurance unless a disability prevents this.
