Job description
Position

The Blandford Integrated Community Rehab Team are looking for a Rehabilitation Assistant to work within their multidisciplinary team, based at Blandford Hospital. We are a small, friendly team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Registered Nurse, Therapy Assistant Practitioners, Rehabilitation Assistants and a Team Administrator.

About the Team

We are a hard‑working and dynamic team committed to providing high‑quality care and rehabilitation to residents within the Blandford area through integrated and collaborative ways of working with our colleagues in the Primary and Social Care sectors.

Eligibility
Applications from candidates that require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
Role Overview

The Integrated Community Rehabilitation Team is a multi‑disciplinary team offering therapy to a wide range of people within their home environments to prevent avoidable hospital admissions and facilitate earlier hospital discharge as well as in‑reach onto the wards. It is essential that you have experience of rehabilitation or a caring role, as well as good verbal, written and team‑working skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under supervision of clinicians within the team and autonomously within your competencies.
  • Visit patients in their homes and other community settings – requires a valid driver's licence.
  • Develop clinical skills and experience with regular supervision and appraisals.
  • Maintain an Enhanced DBS check (covered by the Trust). Applicants on the DBS update service may provide a valid certificate.
