Overview

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust provides a wide range of health and social care services to the south‑east of London and parts of Kent. We are looking for a podiatrist to join our friendly, supportive and dedicated team in Bexley. This is a fixed‑term, full‑time position for 6 months.

Our progressive service delivers high‑quality foot health care across a variety of clinical settings, including community health centres, domiciliary and residential homes. You will be responsible for the assessment and planning of individual patient care, working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan treatment for foot complications associated with diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and vascular/ischemic long‑term conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with district nursing, the acute MDfT and the Surgical Appliances department.
  • Participate in specialist clinical rotations into nail surgery and the acute MDfT wound clinic (outpatient clinics and wards).
  • Receive regular supervision and support for professional development.
  • Travel throughout the borough for domiciliary visits as required.
Qualifications
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Degree in Podiatry and a Local Anaesthesia certificate.
  • Excellent clinical skills in treating patients with high‑risk, long‑term conditions, with an emphasis on wound management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and team‑building skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and travel for domiciliary visits.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to the Trust’s service and value-driven culture.
