Job summary

Conception X in London is seeking a seasoned Community Manager to lead the organisation's ecosystem, engaging PhD founders, researchers, investors and industry partners.

You will travel across the UK and Europe, run alumni engagement, coordinate events, and help connect founders with mentors and experts. The role combines relationship-building with data-informed outreach in a lean team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ work experience in community management, ecosystem building, or a closely adjacent role.
• Demonstrable experience building and sustaining a community, with engagement/retention outcomes.
• Experience planning and delivering outreach events or campaigns at campuses, institutions, or conferences.
• Credibility to navigate university and research ecosystems.
• Experience managing networks of senior mentors, experts, investors, or industry partners.
• Willingness to travel seasonally across the UK and Europe for campus visits and events.

Responsibilities

• Actively tend to and build the broader Conception X community, nurturing relationships across founders, researchers, academics, investors, and partners.
• Own alumni engagement, keeping founders from past cohorts active, and arrange mentors, speakers, and advocates.
• Facilitate introductions between founders and investors, experts, and industry partners.
• Lead cohort initiatives and coordinate with the Programme Manager on the calendar and delivery.
• Manage online channels (e.g., Slack) and report insights to improve the experience.
• Support Demo Day and showcase events, coordinating community and stakeholder experience.
