Sheffield African Caribbean Mental Health Association Limited is seeking a proactive Community Outreach Lead to organise events, capture feedback, and engage with local communities. The role focuses on empowering residents to share their views on health and social care services in Sheffield.
You will design activities, facilitate group discussions and one-to-one conversations, and communicate findings to decision makers.
The right candidate will need to be confident in facilitating events and group discussions, as well as taking notes and talking to people one to one; they will also feel comfortable in talking to decision makers about the views and experiences of local people.
We are looking for someone to join our team who is skilled in connecting with people – as one of our Community Outreach Leads, they willwork to involve people and communities in having their say about health and social care services in the city.
They will be experienced in designing and running activities that support people to have their say about services. We have a strong focus on health equity, and would particularly welcome applications from individuals from underrepresented groups, with the skills and experience to work effectively with diverse communities.
This is a full-time post (35 hours a week), Grade 3, on a fixed term contract until 31 March 2027.
