NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is 5 days, usually Monday-Friday but may be occasional requirement to work weekends.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the District Nursing service within Renfrewshire HSCP.
This post supports the Service Manager in the management and professional leadership of all nursing team members to deliver a high quality service in compliance with statutory responsibilities, professional guidelines and the policies and procedures of the organisation. This post provides day‑to‑day professional and managerial input to the community nursing team within their area of responsibility. The post holder is responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of patient‑centred care to patients and their relatives through the development and management of staff within their remit. The post holder will function as an independent autonomous practitioner by virtue of in‑depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience and will lead and enable the team to provide a high quality service.
