The specialised Health Visiting Team for Infant Mental Health supports infants and their primary caregivers—including parents, foster carers, grandparents, and others—during the first two years of life. The team offers direct support for parent‑infant relationships and addresses infants’ social, emotional, and mental‑health needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver sensitive, responsive, and appropriate care that is essential for the healthy development of infants.
  • Assist caregivers in addressing infants’ social, emotional, mental‑health challenges, enhancing parenting skills, and fostering a strong parent‑infant relationship.
  • Provide services through home visits or alternative venues such as clinical settings or community spaces across Hampshire.
  • Collate inter‑professional work with the public health visiting service, the Healthy Child Programme, and other named professionals/services to support family‑centred care.
  • Support infants during their first two years and manage time slots that run 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
