Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Scarborough. The role uses your nursing or allied health background to assess how conditions affect daily life, via face-to-face and digital processes.

The position offers hybrid working with predictable hours and structured support. You will produce detailed clinical reports and work within defined frameworks, with training, progression, and ongoing clinical guidance provided.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or HCPC registered professional with UK registration.
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience.
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to use digital systems with typing speed around 35 WPM.
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).

Are you an NMC‑

registered Nurse or HCPC‑

registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑

on clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑

term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports
