We are seeking motivated, dynamic, and passionate Band 5 Community Nurses to work within our South Bedfordshire Primary Home Care Team, covering Leighton Buzzard, with an expectation that staff will cover across the bases if needed.

Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the community nursing setting. You will have the opportunity to be involved in facilitating self‑care for patients with long‑term conditions, health promotion and innovative activities and projects that enhance patient service delivery and staff wellbeing. You will also be involved in Urgent Response and Virtual Wards, a focus of our teams.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate self‑care for patients with long‑term conditions.
  • Health promotion and delivery of innovative activities and projects to enhance patient service delivery and staff wellbeing.
  • Participate in Urgent Response and Virtual Wards.
  • Cover across the bases as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Band 5 nursing qualification.
  • Current driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience in adult community services is desirable, but a willingness to learn and contribute is preferred.
  • Newly qualified nurses who are passionate about a career in the community are welcome to apply.

You will be required to work a shift pattern covering 7 days a week from 08:00 – 21:00.

This is a full‑time fixed‑term post for 12 months, until September 2026.
