Description du poste

About The Role

Do you have a good knowledge of communities in Tower Hamlets? Are you passionate about engaging with local residents and supporting them to improve their health and wellbeing?

As a Community Navigator you will link residents to a range of health, wellbeing and advice services, acting as a trusted point of contact for residents and the community groups that work with them. You will develop strong partnerships with a range of statutory, voluntary and community organisations, give presentations to groups, collect community insight and support community engagement and health promotion generally across the Public Health division. You need the ability to deal sensitively, politely and confidentially with vulnerable clients.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with all sections of the community, and women in particular, including those with low literacy and limited English. The ability to speak community languages (particularly Sylheti/Bengali) is highly desirable. We welcome applications from all candidates who meet the person specification and wish to particularly encourage applications from women who are currently underrepresented in this role. We also welcome applicants interested in flexible working arrangements and applicants who live in the borough.
