Job description

Job Opportunity: Mental Health Support Worker

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our diverse and professional team.

We are seeking individuals with experience in mental health who can engage practically with clients to enable recovery.

We Would Like Applicants To Have
  • NVQ Level 2 in health and social care or equivalent relevant training
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in IT
  • Willingness to complete training on the Trust's electronic clinical records system (RIO)
  • Ability to work autonomously
Willingness To Develop Skills And Abilities
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car/vehicle for work purposes (unless disabled as per the Equality Act 2010)
The Role Includes
  • Managing a caseload of clients alongside registered professionals
  • Assisting in developing and implementing personal support care plans
  • Identifying risks and communicating them to clinicians or team leaders
  • Participating in daily meetings for high-risk patients
  • Engaging in monthly reflective practice, complex case discussions, and team training
  • Potentially taking a lead role within the team
  • Attending managerial and clinical supervision every 4-6 weeks
  • Supporting colleagues and acting as a role model for new staff
  • Participating in induction sessions and maintaining professionalism
  • Flexibility to prioritize risk and adapt to team needs
