Job summary

A healthcare organization in Thurso is seeking an enthusiastic Community Mental Health Nurse to join the Caithness Community Mental Health team. This part-time role requires the ability to carry out assessments, care planning, and work within an integrated health and social care environment. Prospective candidates must be NMC registered, demonstrate strong clinical skills, and have a driving license for travel. This is a permanent role of 22.2 hours within service requirements.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Mental Health Nurse to work within the Caithness Community Mental Health team based at Dunbar Hospital.

As a CMHN in Caithness you will work within an Integrated Health and Social Care Team and be required to carry out assessments, care planning, care implementation and reviews and act as a care co‑ordinator where appropriate for clients in the Caithness area.

You will need to demonstrate a broad range of clinical therapeutic work as well as being able to work both independently and within the multi‑disciplinary team setting.

The applicant would be required to travel efficiently and effectively to undertake the role. A driving licence is essential and a pool car may be available, however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required.

Applicants must be registered with the NMC and work within the code of conduct at all times.

This is a permanent part‑time post of 22.2 hours working within service requirements.

This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
