Overview

Senior Nursing Specialist – Older Adult Community Mental Health Team. You will manage a caseload of clients aged 65+ with complex, both psychotic and non‑psychotic mental health problems. The role involves day‑to‑day delivery of evidence‑based interventions, medication management, and multidisciplinary care coordination in a Shared Care and Enhanced Psychosis Pathway setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised, evidence‑based care for older adults with complex mental health challenges.
  • Administer medication, including depot injections, and conduct core and risk assessments.
  • Participate in duty rota covering both dementia and older adult services.
  • Ensure adherence to organisational systems and processes.
  • Line manage and professionally support peers and junior staff.
  • Advise on physical health and wellbeing, advocate, and facilitate access to other services respecting clients’ values and rights.
  • Evaluate intervention effectiveness and support recovery and wellbeing of service users.
