Job description
Job Summary

This role is based within the North Tyneside Specialist Community Psychology Service, delivering a range of psychological interventions to patients presenting with complex psychological difficulties, including those linked to early developmental trauma. The Team of Clinical Psychologists, Counselling Psychologists and Specialist Psychological Therapists offers group courses, individual therapy and comprehensive assessments to meet the needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Community Mental Health Co‑ordinator, supporting patients from initial access through assessment and into treatment.
  • Conduct referral triage, psychological assessments and risk assessment for complex mental health needs.
  • Support the development and delivery of group work, facilitate triage processes and co‑facilitate group interventions as appropriate.
  • Work closely with internal team members and external agencies to ensure seamless care pathways and optimal client outcomes.
  • Identify service improvements and implement best practices to enhance patient experience and care quality.
  • Provide and receive clinical supervision in accordance with service policy.
  • Assist in ensuring clinical risk management and maintaining the clinical pathway decision‑making framework.
