Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of public health and immunisation.
• Appropriate training for working under Patient Group Direction (PGD).
• Up-to-date relevant clinical skills and evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).

Responsibilities

• Support the national childhood immunisation programme.
• Respond to disease outbreaks and deliver out-of-schedule vaccinations.
• Identify and target children who missed their immunisations for follow-up.
• Travel across the Mersey care footprint to deliver vaccinations.
• Assess clients prior to vaccination and review current health status.
