Job summary

Surrey Downs Health and Care in Dorking is looking for a compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join the Dorking District Nursing Team. You will support nurses in delivering high-quality care to patients in their own homes, helping to promote independence and improve health outcomes.

This part-time role offers NHS benefits, training and a friendly team environment. You will conduct home visits, assist with wound care, phlebotomy, and other clinical tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK driving licence.
• Experience in team-based, pressurised environments.
• Ability to operate a computerised patient record system.

Responsibilities

• Support nurses in delivering high-quality home-based care.
• Assist in wound care, Doppler, phlebotomy, and bladder screening under supervision.
• Perform diagnostic tests and monitor chronic diseases as directed.
• Carry out delegated clinical interventions with patient safety in mind.
