Job summary

Five Towns Christian Fellowship is recruiting a Community Connector to reduce health inequalities and boost wellbeing across Whitwood and Cutsyke. Working on BHSC projects, you will be the community's heartbeat, building trusted relationships with residents from youth to older adults.

You will design outreach activities, provide practical support, identify barriers, map local resources, and contribute to steering group decisions, collaborating with statutory, voluntary, and community partners

Qualifications

• Outgoing, enthusiastic communicator who loves meeting people.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to identify local needs.
• Strong local knowledge of Whitwood/Cutsyke and surrounding areas.
• Flexible approach to hours and tasks for a community-focused role.
• Experience in delivering or volunteering on community projects.
• Understanding of health inequalities and safeguarding principles.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with residents and communities, engaging across ages.
• Coordinate outreach activities and deliver creative wellbeing events.
• Provide hands-on support, mentoring, and guidance to accessing services.
• Identify barriers to access and develop practical solutions.
• Map local resources and maximise community benefit.
• Participate in the project steering group to shape decisions.
• Collaborate with statutory, voluntary, and community partners.
• Collect data and uphold safeguarding and organisational policies.
